Why is it hard to meditate? It’s because we’re ignorant of our spiritual nature. Lack of understanding of our spiritual nature is the cause of all restricting influences that keep us from putting total attention on Spirit. Being unconscious of Spirit leads to egoism, attachment, aversion and possessiveness. When these restricting influences are fully active in our mind, we aren’t able to meditate. Furthermore, because our reason is overpowered, we’re likely going to make decisions which mess up our life.
We ask you to commit two hours a week to selfless service. This service can be anything you choose ranging from helping a family member or neighbor to volunteering at a nonprofit organization.
