The core of our being is pure Infinite Consciousness which we can experience in meditation. This practice uses the analogy of adjoining lakes, where the waters of the mind, the buddhi or intermediary between the mind, and soul (Purusha), intermingle. We practice flowing from one lake of consciousness to another lake of consciousness. Through this interplay, we find the beauty and joy of the soul revealed.
Be aware of your mind as if it’s a lake, full of sensations and thoughts. Be aware of subtle murmurings, subtle feelings, about your sense of self, the one who is thinking and feeling, the one who is doing. Allow a most magnificent occurrence: Bit by bit, the Purusha begins to make itself known in both the buddhi lake and even the mind lake.
We ask you to commit two hours a week to selfless service. This service can be anything you choose ranging from helping a family member or neighbor to volunteering at a nonprofit organization.
This commitment is solely between you and your inner self.
