Why is yoga called the path of joy? Through the dedicated practice of yoga, one can find expanding, ever-new joy. A yogi turns from pursuing the objects of enjoyment to receiving the inner gift of transcendent, eternal joy. Discover the lasting joy to be found when the pursuit of external objects of enjoyment is abandoned.
Eventually most yogis stop pursuing the objects of enjoyment. They give up seeking happiness in external objects. They have only one pursuit — oneness of body, mind and spirit, and unity between themselves and the Infinite.
When you give up seeking enjoyment, peace fills you. After peace, you gain a growing sense of what is eternal and what is not. In time, bliss fills you. Joy then follows — eternal, everlasting, ever-expanding, ever-new delight.
You’re invited to explore Yoga World’s meditation talks where you can try many different meditation practices. When you find the technique that best suits you, you’ll more easily experience the peace, courage and compassion of your inner self.
