Yogis seek to relate to Spirit in a superconscious way, beyond the normal thinking mind. Most often we use the evaluating mind to perceive and interact with the world. The problem is that this level of awareness doesn’t know the soul, Spirit within. Developing spiritual sight and intuition brings new understandings about our own life and the meaning of life in general. Explore practices to bring new intuition, understanding and delight into your life through spiritual sight.
You can stimulate spiritual sight by focusing on the third eye (half an inch above where the eyebrows meet). Gazing with calm eyes while allowing energy to move there helps you to see spiritually. Adding a third eye awareness to normal sight gradually opens this chakra. You become able to see more fully, gaining a greater understanding of others and life in general.
You can also develop spiritual sight by focusing in the heart center (in the spine in back of the heart). As you gaze with your physical eyes, feel as if you are also seeing from the heart. Heart knowledge reveals the spiritual context and value of things. You will likely gain more understanding and appreciation of the important people in your life as you view them from the perspective of the third eye or the heart.
