RAMAKRISHNA ANANDA

Beyond Appearances

Does the yoga of wisdom fit your nature?

From a jnana yoga perspective Spirit is the only reality and we are all forms of that one substance. Jnanis seek to go within, find the original substance and become conscious of that all-encompassing Spirit. Explore the concept and practice of non-duality. Discover how it can reveal the truth beyond appearances.

Jnana Yoga

Live in Bliss

Through yoga practice we go within and find the force and consciousness by which we are made and sustained. We then can find our essence, our substance, and become more spiritually aware. At first we visit Spirit in meditation and prayer. Ultimately we are able to live in this consciousness, being aware of Spirit all the time. Accompanying states of bliss and joy may come and go at first. Eventually, we live in bliss, conscious of Spirit moving within our being.

  • Spirit is the only reality — we are shapes and forms of Spirit
  • In jnana yoga, the yoga of wisdom, our consciousness is focused on returning to Source
  • The center of our being is the soul — Infinite Spirit becoming individualized
  • Mandukya Upanishad teaches how to work through levels of consciousness in order to return to soul and Spirit
  • Duality is seeing the many while being unaware of the one underlying substance — Spirit
  • The goal of the practice of non-duality is to see the One, to discover that all is Spirit
