RAMAKRISHNA ANANDA

Express Your True Personality — Part 2

How to get free of your false sense of self

There are many yoga practices which can free us from the counterfeit personality. Learn how Sufis also seek to go beyond the false personality and purify the mind and heart.  Sufis teach that pure happiness is the stream of love that springs from one’s soul.

Essential Life Skills, Soul/Inner Self, Heart Center

Express Your Soul

Be an artist of personality. It doesn’t take hard work — it just takes spiritual awareness. First purify the mind of all thought and memories (as best as you can).  Let your awareness of harmony help you release the thoughts. Then turn your focus to the chest and heart center inside your spine back of the heart organ. Feel the beauty of being alive. Wash away all feelings which do not add to your awareness of beauty. The power of beauty appreciation will, in time, stir the awareness of Spirit within you. When love occurs, hold your focus on it and let it grow. This wondrous love comes from your soul. Your soul wants to bless the world through your heart and a beautiful, loving personality.

  • People often form a counterfeit personality which doesn’t reflect the true self
  • Hazrat Inayat Khan (Being and Becoming) teaches how to clean the mind by letting go of all that is weighing it down
  • The heart is purified by being cleansed in the continually running stream of love
  • As we free the mind and heart, we sense the power of the Divine wishing to express, create and manifest through us
  • Hazrat Inayat Khan:  True happiness is in the love stream that springs from one’s soul.
