Signs of Progress in Yoga

How is your yoga practice going?

Yoga practice brings a growing sense of harmony within oneself and with the outer world. Learn the main signs of progress and find out how practicing the yamas of Patanjali improves character, allowing the positive traits of the inner self to express.

Spiritual Development, Patanjali's Yoga Sutras, Yamas & Niyamas, Harmony
  • Behind the feelings of anger, fear, guilt, grief, arrogance and prejudice, you discover the heart’s true feeling is actually love
  • As you progress, there is a growing sense of harmony of body, mind and spirit
  • Regularly, you become absorbed in meditation and have moods of love (bhavas)
  • The practice of the yamas of Patanjali (Yoga Sutras) results in a more positive, less destructive, character
  • Learn about the benefits and discoveries that come as each yama is developed

What Yoga Means

Yoga means harmony of body, mind and spirit. There is a greater sense of harmony and well being inside you and around you. You’re aware of it and you appreciate it — wherever you are, whatever you are doing. Greater accord occurs in your life, harmony inside and out.
