Truths from the Tao — Part 3

Explore how the Tao can help you know Spirit

The beautiful life-giving words from the Tao Te Ching can help you relate to Spirit. As you enjoy and assimilate these truths, allow them to be valuable aids in helping you go Godward.

Yoga Perspectives

Quotes from the Tao Te Ching:

  • The movement of the Tao consists in returning to Spirit.
  • The use of the Tao consists in softness, softness, not a storming.
  • The farther you go, the less you know.  Thus, the sage knows without traveling, sees without looking, and achieves without ado.
  • The way of heaven is to benefit, not to harm.
  • The way of the sage is to do his duty, not to contend with anyone.

Heaven’s Way

It is heaven’s way to conquer without striving,
To get responses without speaking,
To induce people to come without summoning them,
To act according to plans without haste.
Vast is heaven’s net, sparse meshed it is.
And yet nothing can slip through it.

— Tao Te Ching

How to Succeed

As you may know, we do not charge for our courses. All Yoga World content is free and available to you with our blessings. However, we do have a simple, but important request that’s key to the transformations necessary to succeed on the path.

We ask you to commit two hours a week to selfless service. This service can be anything you choose ranging from helping a family member or neighbor to volunteering at a nonprofit organization.

I Commit to Serve

This commitment is solely between you and your inner self.
