Jnana yoga leads to the awareness of Spirit everywhere. Vijnana yoga is a step even higher. Vijnana yogis not only awaken to Spirit, but express and apply it in every aspect of life. Learn how practicing the various yogas can lead to the development of vijnana yoga.
Sri Ramakrishna said it this way: “A jnani, a yogi of wisdom, knows that there is fire capability in wood. But the vijnani, the one of higher wisdom, not only knows that fire capacity is in wood, but he starts a fire, cooks a meal, and is nourished by it.” That’s a vijnani. Such a person knows yoga metaphysics, applied yoga. You’re aware of Spirit in everything you do and are nourished by it.
