RAMAKRISHNA ANANDA

Your Soul is Perfecting You — Part 1

Do you know your loving inner guide?

Yogis describe the atman (the soul) as God within who is guiding, blessing and encouraging spiritual realization. Explore how the purusha, the true self, is benevolently and actively fostering the enlightenment process. Discover how the inner self is lovingly calling you home to higher consciousness and your true nature.

Yoga Perspectives

The True Self

The purusha, the supreme consciousness which dwells within each of us, is witnessing our lives. It is also defined as the one who permits. As we get to know it, we find it is a loving guide.  It is our essence, our true self.

  • In all your thoughts and feelings, in every situation, your soul is witnessing and helping
  • One of the main reasons to meditate is to contact the soul
  • Sri Yukteswar (The Holy Science) described the stages of growth leading to the discovery of the true self
  • The purusha is the Divine which dwells within you — your highest self
  • You are kept alive by the purusha, the inner self acting and moving within you
  • Nature responds as you attune with, and abide in, the purusha

How to Succeed

As you may know, we do not charge for our courses. All Yoga World content is free and available to you with our blessings. However, we do have a simple, but important request that’s key to the transformations necessary to succeed on the path.

We ask you to commit two hours a week to selfless service. This service can be anything you choose ranging from helping a family member or neighbor to volunteering at a nonprofit organization.

I Commit to Serve

This commitment is solely between you and your inner self.
