20 Lessons for the World

Can personal actions help safeguard freedom?

Have you ever thought:  What can I do? Will anything I do make a difference in the world? Historian Timothy Snyder (On Tyranny, 20 Lessons from the 20th Century) says we can make an impact with our actions. One huge way to make a difference is by being truthful.

  • 20 Lessons for the World #1
  • 20 Lessons for the World #2

Snyder says if we abandon truth, we abandon freedom. Sri Ramakrishna also taught that truth is the spiritual discipline for our age. Every time you stand for truth, seek, support and live in truth, you help preserve freedom.

How to Succeed

As you may know, we do not charge for our courses. All Yoga World content is free and available to you with our blessings. However, we do have a simple, but important request that’s key to the transformations necessary to succeed on the path.

We ask you to commit two hours a week to selfless service. This service can be anything you choose ranging from helping a family member or neighbor to volunteering at a nonprofit organization.

I Commit to Serve

This commitment is solely between you and your inner self.
