20 Lessons for the World — Part 1

Would you like to help worldwide peace become a reality?

Learn how you can help bring peace into the world. We consider the yoga perspective in studying the first ten lessons in Timothy Schneider’s book, On Tyranny, 20 Lessons from the 20th Century.

Yoga Perspectives, Peace

Believe in Truth

Lesson 10:  Believe in Truth — To abandon facts is to abandon freedom. So many untruths go out to humanity unquestioned and yet believed. Suddenly, the world has all kinds of problems. Stand for truth. Support truth. Speak and seek truth. Live in truth. Don’t passively accept popular propaganda. Make the effort to be true to yourself. Seek, serve and believe in truth.

  • Join Yoga Center members and pray for world peace every day
  • Yogis strive to manifest what they find in meditation and do their part in becoming instruments of love and blessings to the world
  • Study the first ten lessons from On Tyranny, 20 Lessons from the 20th Century by Dr. Timothy Snyder
  • The 20th century has much to teach us about how to live in peace today
  • Learn about the importance of defending our institutions
  • Find out how our personal actions can preserve our freedoms

How to Succeed

As you may know, we do not charge for our courses. All Yoga World content is free and available to you with our blessings. However, we do have a simple, but important request that’s key to the transformations necessary to succeed on the path.

We ask you to commit two hours a week to selfless service. This service can be anything you choose ranging from helping a family member or neighbor to volunteering at a nonprofit organization.

I Commit to Serve

This commitment is solely between you and your inner self.

Why the Commitment?
