RAMAKRISHNA ANANDA

Yoga is About Giving and Receiving

Can spiritual intuition be cultivated?

Yoga is an interplay with the Divine. It involves giving your mind, heart and body to Spirit while also receiving greater spiritual awareness and guidance. Explore yoga practices which can improve your ability to give and receive.

First Steps

Can You Give and Receive?

Life is an interplay which involves giving and receiving. Let’s consider both parts. How good are you at giving? Conscious giving helps us enter and live in the divine play. Do you give your body to Spirit? Your mind, personality and ego? The ego tries to control things and separates us from others. Wonderfully, you can offer your ego as a gift and allow Spirit to move. This transformed ego can be absorbed in the soul.

Receiving is also very important. Often, we are so busy we don’t give ourselves a chance to receive. Usually, the ego blocks reception. Spirit is ready to give us understandings and opportunities. The higher states of spiritual realization and ultimate enlightenment are all gifts from the Divine. Peace, devotion, happiness and joy, for example, are available and ready to be received.

  • Most people live their lives unaware of Spirit
  • Meditation helps to cultivate the awakening of higher faculties: spiritual sight, spiritual hearing, spiritual touch and intuition
  • Yogis and mystics experience superconsciousness, states of consciousness beyond the thinking mind
  • The ability to give and receive at spiritual levels can be cultivated
  • Higher states of consciousness are all gifts of Spirit. We can’t force them to come to us
  • Spiritual help and transformation occur as we surrender our confusion and problems

How to Succeed

As you may know, we do not charge for our courses. All Yoga World content is free and available to you with our blessings. However, we do have a simple, but important request that’s key to the transformations necessary to succeed on the path.

We ask you to commit two hours a week to selfless service. This service can be anything you choose ranging from helping a family member or neighbor to volunteering at a nonprofit organization.

I Commit to Serve

This commitment is solely between you and your inner self.
