Classical Kriya Yoga

Classical kriya is a set of actions which can help you grow spiritually. Its three steps are based on the Eightfold Path of Patanjali:  self-discipline, self-study, and Ishvara Pranidhan (honoring the spirit of God in others). They are especially helpful for busy people.

Self-discipline is aligning your daily life with truth. Self-study is examining your daily experiences and learning how to be a better, happier person through introspection. Ishvara Pranidhan is seeing Spirit in everyone, including oneself.  The practice of spinal breathing can help you recognize your soul as well as the souls of others.

  • The three steps of Patanjali’s classical kriya yoga are:  self-discipline, self-study and Ishvara Pranidhan (seeing and respecting the Spirit of God in others)
  • Self-discipline — As you honor your word and align with truth, harmony comes into your life
  • Self-study — Engage in introspection and learn from your experiences as you review your day
  • Ishvara Pranidhan — To see, honor and respect the Divine Spirit in yourself and others
  • Practicing spinal breathing can increase your attunement with Spirit, helping you focus on the soul — both yours and others
