RAMAKRISHNA ANANDA

The Levels of Love

Is it possible to love unconditionally?

Love is self-giving. We love most completely when we give of ourselves. Look at your life. Is love flowing in you? Love flows naturally in those who shed physical tension and mental turbulence. Explore two meditations which help seekers become mentally and emotionally free to experience higher levels of love.

Bhakti Yoga

Free to Love

Yogis seek to go beyond body consciousness and become aware of Spirit — both within themselves and everywhere. Love is expansive and radiates everywhere. All human beings can love.

There are yoga practices which help free you to live in love. Enjoy both of these famous yoga meditations. They help to shed negative mental/emotional states so that you may love fully and happily.

  • Yogis seek to become aware of the vast self within. One way is through experiencing and expressing love
  • Sri Yukteswar Giri (The Holy Science): Yoga is the cultivation of the heart’s true feeling.
  • First level of love: Selfish love — loving in order to get
  • Second level: Trading love — the relationship continues as long as the trade is good
  • Third level: Love of love — loving because you enjoy loving
  • Fourth level: Love in love — loving because it is your nature

How to Succeed

As you may know, we do not charge for our courses. All Yoga World content is free and available to you with our blessings. However, we do have a simple, but important request that’s key to the transformations necessary to succeed on the path.

We ask you to commit two hours a week to selfless service. This service can be anything you choose ranging from helping a family member or neighbor to volunteering at a nonprofit organization.

I Commit to Serve

This commitment is solely between you and your inner self.
