RAMAKRISHNA ANANDA

How to Live in the Kali Yuga

What is the benefit of being truthful?

The Kali Yuga is defined as the age when spiritual truth is obscured and passions often dominate human awareness. During these times of confusion, the Lord incarnates Himself to show people how to live. Ponder Sri Ramakrishna’s advice for living and growing spiritually in the Kali Yuga.

Sunday Morning Sessions

God Is Truth

If you want a relationship with the Lord, this involves becoming aligned with the principles of the universe. Sri Ramakrishna taught that the main spiritual practice of this age is speaking and practicing the truth. He emphasized that we have not really begun our sadhana (spiritual practice) unless we seek, love and appreciate the truth because God is truth.

  • Sri Ramakrishna demonstrated how to relate to God as a loving parent
  • He taught that the main spiritual practice for this age is speaking and practicing the truth
  • He advised people to chant God’s name and glories in order to focus the mind/heart and grow spiritually
  • Yearning is an important bhakti yoga tool on the path
  • Use yoga practices to ventilate the subconscious mind and dissolve negative, painful thoughts
  • Yoga can help establish and consolidate our relationship with the Divine
