RAMAKRISHNA ANANDA

The Nature of God

Discover how to be united with God

We focus on chapter 9 of the Bhagavad Gita:  “I am the goal, the supporter, the Lord, the witness, the abode, the shelter, the friend.” The individual soul and the Lord become united in a wondrous way. It is the grace of the Lord which unfailingly facilitates this union.

Yoga Perspectives, Bhagavad Gita

Commentary from the Bhagavad Gita 9:22

Like the baby in the womb gets its nourishment from the mother and there is a state of non-separation between mother and baby, your needs are met in God. While the mother and baby will be separated by time, the individual soul and the Great Soul, the Infinite Soul, God, will become united for eternity.

  • Be inspired by chapter 9 of the Bhagavad Gita on the nature of God and allow these words to wash over you
  • Be open to how great and vast God is, beyond our mental capacity
  • Bhagavad Gita 9:22: “To those who worship Me alone, thinking of no other, who are ever devout, I provide gain and security.”
  • Sri Ramakrishna: “When the devotee takes one stride toward the Lord, God takes ten strides towards that devotee. Such is His grace.”
