RAMAKRISHNA ANANDA

The Key is Bhakti! — Part 2

Want your mind and emotions to be happy and harmonious?

Through bhakti yoga you can transcend superficial feelings and discover the already flowing river of love inside you. Bhakti helps you release the emotions which bother and block you.

Devotional Yoga, Devotion, Love
  • No matter what type of yoga you practice, bhakti comes when the heart center opens
  • Bhakti fills your deepest needs because in love you’re attuned to the Infinite, you’re attuned to the loving consciousness that fulfills all needs
  • Bhakti makes the bridge, the connection, between your outer self and your soul, between you and God, between you and fruitful yoga practice
  • Bhakti is more fulfilling than anything the outer world offers — it’s intensely satisfying
  • Bhakti matures and develops and takes seekers into absorption, into bhavas and samadhis
  • Bhakti is the most essential and basic teaching of yoga

Bhakti Becomes a Mighty River

Bhakti matures and blossoms. It does not fade away. Bhakti yoga is not a rushing energy that becomes bland and faint. Bhakti is more like a mountain stream that becomes a mighty river. Then this river of love interplays with the ocean of Spirit. At first, you shed tension and turbulence until your bhakti river is revealed. Then bhakti brings the realization of love, that you are loved. Through practicing yoga, you discover you are the beloved of God.

How to Succeed

As you may know, we do not charge for our courses. All Yoga World content is free and available to you with our blessings. However, we do have a simple, but important request that’s key to the transformations necessary to succeed on the path.

We ask you to commit two hours a week to selfless service. This service can be anything you choose ranging from helping a family member or neighbor to volunteering at a nonprofit organization.

I Commit to Serve

This commitment is solely between you and your inner self.
