Harmony — A Pathway to Bliss and Love

How to cultivate harmony in your yoga practice

Yoga helps one to live in the harmony of body, mind and spirit. Yoga practitioners also seek to establish a balance between Spirit and nature. As we abide in harmony, this connection dynamically reveals itself. Life then becomes a wonderful expression of unity and interplay between the individual soul and the Infinite.

Develop a Growing Sense of Harmony

How do we balance Spirit and nature in our lives? First, practice yoga and become aware of the ongoing harmony which fills your life. The goal is to find the place of balance where your awareness is able to abide in the soul. One way is through bhakti yoga. Yearning develops into one-pointedness and one-pointedness then leads to a state where love naturally flows in the heart. You live in love. Another way is through serenity where the mind becomes clear and settles in the soul.

Next, allow harmony to increase as you nurture an appreciation of nature and Spirit. Both Spirit and nature are happening here and now — allow them to play together. Seek balance in your spiritual practice. When one is balanced, it becomes easy to soar into high states of spiritual awareness and exaltation.

  • Yogis seek to find harmony between Spirit and nature
  • Spirit is defined as Existence (pure being), Consciousness (awareness of being) and Bliss (ever-new joy)
  • Nature is defined as the part of Spirit which manifests. The universe, the world, living beings and you and I are all manifestations of Spirit
  • Practicing yoga leads to a growing awareness of profound harmony
  • By cultivating harmony through spiritual practice, samadhi (spiritual absorption) and other high states of exaltation come more easily
