RAMAKRISHNA ANANDA

Advanced Sahaj Practice

Is it possible to have a clear, serene mind?

Advanced sahaj is a jnana (wisdom) yoga practice from the Bhagavad Gita. The goal is to develop a clear mind, one which is poised and still. Shedding is a fundamental practice for clearing the mind. Instead of fighting ideas, thoughts or images, allow your mind to release them. Participate in guided techniques which help you shed at progressively more subtle levels. Most people can enjoy mental clarity, discover serenity, and live in profound peace. (Exceptions may be those who need professional therapy.)

Pathways to Harmony

Yoga development helps bring your life into balance. As you harmonize body, mind and spirit, the Infinite Consciousness which created you is more accessible. This state of unity leads to a deep connection with the Divine.

Every type of yoga is a pathway leading to harmony. As you live in harmony and allow the Infinite Energy to flow through you, you discover that It wants to help in all aspects of your life. You can connect with tremendous assistance, power, wisdom and transformation. When Spirit begins to move easily, It expresses, inspires, uplifts, empowers, reveals and guides.

  • Advanced sahaj is a jnana (wisdom) yoga practice described in Chapter 6 of the Bhagavad Gita
  • One technique which leads to a clear mind is to shed (mentally release) sensations, thoughts and feelings
  • Once the clear mind finds equilibrium and poise, it naturally abides there
  • The settled mind is able to contact the soul and dwell in a state of serenity, wholeness and well being
  • The practice of blissful brooding, shedding at progressively more subtle levels, leads to sublime peace
  • Peace is an advanced state but is only a beginning step leading toward even more sublime spiritual experiences
