Yogis study the “fogs of our mind and the spells of our heart” which keep us from remembering that we are essentially Spirit expressing through a body and mind. Explore what keeps you from knowing your true self. Use yoga to remember that you are soul and Spirit.
When we talk about enlightenment, we’re talking about remembering our true self. In daily life, we get preoccupied. We don’t even realize we have a soul — that part of us which is eternal, pure and painless. Divine memory (smriti) is remembering, awakening to something we already know deep within our spiritual consciousness. When we become free of other mental/emotional preoccupations and the false self, we easily remember who we truly are — divine souls.
We ask you to commit two hours a week to selfless service. This service can be anything you choose ranging from helping a family member or neighbor to volunteering at a nonprofit organization.
This commitment is solely between you and your inner self.
