RAMAKRISHNA ANANDA

Your Unique Sane Self

How to find your true self and live in joy

Yogis differentiate between the true self and the counterfeit self. In Your Aladdin’s Lamp, Reverend William Hornaday defines the true self as the sane self. As we contact our sane self, we are able to express the uniqueness of our individual souls, live in joy, and make a positive contribution to those around us. Discover ways to find your sane self.

First Steps, Soul/Inner Self

What is Your Unique Expression?

True wholeness, true saneness, begins in recognition of your own personal uniqueness. Why did God create you? God is expressing uniquely through you. What is that unique expression? You will explore this theme again and again throughout life. Today, we will make several explorations.

  • Discover how to use your personal challenges to sense your true self
  • Find out Reverend Hornaday’s descriptions of the insane, the unsane and the sane self
  • Living from your true self means expressing your full potential and living a full, happy life
  • Chanting the name of God helps you sense your soul and your true self
  • Explore practices which help to find and express the true self
  • Find out how your soul would like to express uniquely through you

How to Succeed

As you may know, we do not charge for our courses. All Yoga World content is free and available to you with our blessings. However, we do have a simple, but important request that’s key to the transformations necessary to succeed on the path.

We ask you to commit two hours a week to selfless service. This service can be anything you choose ranging from helping a family member or neighbor to volunteering at a nonprofit organization.

I Commit to Serve

This commitment is solely between you and your inner self.

Why the Commitment?
