RAMAKRISHNA ANANDA

Sahaj — Natural Samadhi — Part 1

Bring Spirit into your daily activities

Sahaj is an ongoing union or connection with Spirit. One lives in a sense of holiness, peace, and the awareness of truly being loved. Discover sahaj practices which allow you to experience an ongoing awareness of Spirit.

Yoga in Daily Life, Sahaj
  • Sahaj samadhi is living in contact with Spirit, aware of the connection all the time, while going about the activities of your daily life
  • Sahaj was practiced in the Middle Ages — monks and nuns were earnestly striving to contact and live constantly in awareness of God. The practice of sahaj is thousands of years old
  • Samadhi is absorption in Spirit
  • One sahaj practice is to allow the vibration of your meditation (perhaps harmony, peace or love) to stay with you as you go about your day

Living in Natural Samadhi

Yoga practice leads to a beautiful state called sahaj samadhi (natural samadhi) in which the glow of yoga meditation or postures stays with you as an ongoing momentum. Samadhi normally means absorption in Spirit.  But sahaj samadhi means living in contact with Spirit as you go about your day. You are aware of spiritual contact continuously.

How to Succeed

As you may know, we do not charge for our courses. All Yoga World content is free and available to you with our blessings. However, we do have a simple, but important request that’s key to the transformations necessary to succeed on the path.

We ask you to commit two hours a week to selfless service. This service can be anything you choose ranging from helping a family member or neighbor to volunteering at a nonprofit organization.

I Commit to Serve

This commitment is solely between you and your inner self.
