Criticism is part of life and how we deal with it is the difference between being happy or being miserable. Discover the different ways you can know whether the criticism you receive is valid and helpful or a false, hurtful, inappropriate statement from someone whose view isn’t accurate.
One day Buddha was viciously insulted. Buddha calmly said, “What happens when a letter is sent but no one is there to receive it?” The critic replied, “The letter is returned to the sender.” Buddha answered, “Just so. I do not receive what you have sent me.” That’s Buddha’s way and also yoga’s way. You decide whether to receive the letter, the criticism.
