What is Yoga Realization?

Tips for overcoming the forces that keep you from making progress

Yoga is not a belief system. Yoga must be experienced. It is not enough to know some yoga concepts; we need to be empowered and transformed by yoga. Discover how you can open to an experience of your true self, the place within you that is pure peace, power, love and joy — as well as gaining a profound relationship with Spirit.

Yoga Must Be Experienced

Let’s consider this very important subject that a lot of people misunderstand. It has to do with the word realization. True yoga must be experienced. It needs to be realized, not as a theoretical thing, not as a fantasy, not merely as a group of concepts and methods. Self-realization is an experience you live in — harmony of body, mind and spirit and harmony between you and the Infinite Consciousness. It needs to be continuous, not briefly contacted. And the beauty is, yoga shows you how to proceed.

  • Yogis seek realization of the true self and a relationship with the Divine
  • Learn about the gunas (tamas, rajas, sattvas) and how they affect the practice of yoga
  • The harmony of sattvas guna brings peace and happiness
  • Yogis become absorbed in Spirit and have many life transforming experiences
  • Yogis have self-realization — knowledge that the soul within us is part of the Infinite Spirit
  • Discover how yogis live in the realization of soul and Spirit
