RAMAKRISHNA ANANDA

Yoga Progress Requires Penetration

Becoming more receptive to Spirit

Yoga is a series of penetrations deeper and deeper into Spirit. Discover how yoga penetrations allow us to receive the treasures of life that we’re meant to have. Sense the wonder and joy, the newness of life, which comes from the blessings of penetration.

Yoga Perspectives

Yoga Involves Penetrations

As you practice meditation, as you love God, spiritual energy wells up within you. There comes a day when Spirit penetrates, when It pushes forward. You can’t make it happen. We call these events penetrations. Spirit penetrates through the chakras and through our spiritual ignorance.

  • The ego may cooperate and be receptive but it still can’t make yogis out of us
  • The spiritual energy within can build up and push through blockages
  • To be successful in yoga, we must have breakthroughs
  • The Bhagavad Gita teaches how to penetrate the mystery of life and find its true meaning
  • Bhavas (moods of love) and samadhis (absorptions) are penetrations into Spirit
  • Allow yoga to gather your thoughts, feelings and attention. Yoga will use them to intensify your awareness and guide you naturally into penetrations

We are spiritual beings
“Higher consciousness (also called spiritual awareness) is the main component missing in the lives of people. We humans are spiritual beings, enlivened by Spirit. We’d have a much better world if more people discovered the already present Spirit within them.”

— Ramakrishna Ananda

As you may know, we do not charge for our courses. All Yoga World content is free and available to you with our blessings. However, we do have a simple, but important request that’s key to the transformations necessary to succeed on the path.

We ask you to commit two hours a week to selfless service. This service can be anything you choose ranging from helping a family member or neighbor to volunteering at a nonprofit organization.

I Commit to Serve

This commitment is solely between you and your inner self.
