RAMAKRISHNA ANANDA

Your Inner Guru

Discover your personal guide to higher consciousness

Have you met your inner guru? The guru is the awakening consciousness that takes us home to our true self. Discover a practice that lets you experience your true state, your soul or atman, and meet your inner guru more deeply and profoundly.

Yoga Perspectives, Guru

A Guru Helps in Three Ways

A guru is one who helps you in three special ways. A guru is a dispeller of darkness, one who washes the mud away and helps one discover their true self, the soul.  A guru is a guide who helps show the way. He is also a matchmaker, helping you come into relationship, a wonderful eternal relationship, with the Divine.

  • The word guru comes from two Sanskrit words, gu and ru. It means to prevail over the ignorance, doubt, and problems of the ego
  • A guru helps in three ways:  as a dispeller of darkness, as a guide who shows the way, and as a matchmaker who helps create a relationship between you and the Divine
  • The inner guru – the soul, true self or atman – can serve as your guide
  • Enjoy a beautiful practice that will guide you to your inner guru
  • Each of us has a distinct vibration. If we tune in, it leads us back to soul and the Infinite
  • As we become conscious of our true self, we begin to live with an awareness of the soul

How to Succeed

As you may know, we do not charge for our courses. All Yoga World content is free and available to you with our blessings. However, we do have a simple, but important request that’s key to the transformations necessary to succeed on the path.

We ask you to commit two hours a week to selfless service. This service can be anything you choose ranging from helping a family member or neighbor to volunteering at a nonprofit organization.

I Commit to Serve

This commitment is solely between you and your inner self.

Why the Commitment?
