Be a Blessing — Part 1

Allow spiritual experiences to help you overcome troubles

Spiritual experiences change our level of consciousness and therefore our level of functioning. The yogic view is that, as we grow in our yoga practice, Spirit can use us as an instrument to bless others. Explore the inspiring ideas of Pierre Pradervand (The Gentle Art of Blessing). Discover how you can be an instrument of blessing in the lives of those you meet.

Complete Fulfillment and Deepest Happiness

To bless is to wish from the bottom of your heart in total sincerity the very best for the person, for their complete fulfillment and deepest happiness.

Think of someone and give this blessing to them right now. In total sincerity, wish from the bottom of your heart the very best for this person, for their complete fulfillment and deepest happiness. Then I recommend a yogic practice, a mystical practice: Exhale and release the prayer with the thought that this is now in operation. Just exhale and release, like you’re sending a letter. Let it go. The Divine is in operation now.

  • The remedy for most difficult situations is to have a shift in consciousness, a change in our perceptions and reactions
  • A blessing is a spiritual experience, changing our level of consciousness and enabling us to live more successful lives
  • Yogis realize that we are all connected at a deep soul level, one soul expressing through many different souls
  • Pierre Pradervand (The Gentle Art of Blessing):  Life’s trials seem to block and hurt us. See them as blessings in disguise. 
  • Pradervand:  Blessings reveal that a fundamental law of harmony governs all beings in order to guide and adjust all things for good.

How to Succeed

As you may know, we do not charge for our courses. All Yoga World content is free and available to you with our blessings. However, we do have a simple, but important request that’s key to the transformations necessary to succeed on the path.

We ask you to commit two hours a week to selfless service. This service can be anything you choose ranging from helping a family member or neighbor to volunteering at a nonprofit organization.
