RAMAKRISHNA ANANDA

The Yoga of Wisdom — Part 3

How does one become selfless?

Through dedicated jnana (wisdom) yoga practice, you can gradually find the inner light which will enable and empower your soul to shine. See how you can live in the freedom of Spirit.

Keys to Higher Yogas

Find Your Inner Light

Through jnana yoga practice, you can gradually find your inner light. You begin to contact the Infinite Spirit and also the presence of Spirit within you. One day you discover that Spirit is everywhere and in everyone — that It truly is universal.

Swami Vivekananda summing up jnana yoga:  The light exists always for us, the self-effulgent nature of the human soul. Build up your character and manifest your real nature, the effulgent, the resplendent, the ever-pure. Call it up in everyone you see. Rise, effulgent one. Rise, rise, thou birthless and deathless one. Rise!

  • Release selfishness and the false sense of self through taking desire breaks
  • Chant nahang, nahang, tuhu, tuhu (not I, not I, but You, but You)
  • Swami Vivekananda:  The light exists always for us, the self-effulgent nature of the human soul.
  • Jnana yoga practice leads to the realization of the Infinite Spirit within oneself and within everyone
  • Through realization of the inner light, one finds a new sense of freedom

How to Succeed

As you may know, we do not charge for our courses. All Yoga World content is free and available to you with our blessings. However, we do have a simple, but important request that’s key to the transformations necessary to succeed on the path.

We ask you to commit two hours a week to selfless service. This service can be anything you choose ranging from helping a family member or neighbor to volunteering at a nonprofit organization.

I Commit to Serve

This commitment is solely between you and your inner self.

Why the Commitment?
