RAMAKRISHNA ANANDA

Fight Using Spiritual Facts — Part 1

Would you like to be a force for positive change in the world?

Yogis view life as a divine play as well as a battle. They use their awareness of Spirit to fight the good fight and help the world. The great yogi Patanjali taught that to dwell in our true nature and experience Spirit, we need to control the thought waves of our mind. Find how yoga allows you to dwell in your true nature, thus bringing positive change into your life and into the lives of others.

Essential Life Skills, Bhagavad Gita

One Vast Mind

As a result of getting free of these vrittis, whirlpools of consciousness, you experience you’re a part of the one vast mind. This is a fundamental teaching of yoga — also of mysticism,  Asian schools of martial arts,  metaphysics east and west, and also spiritual healing. The yogi practices and enters into oneness through sympathy or empathy, and through samadhi, the realization of Spirit everywhere. There’s an awareness of Spirit alone, Spirit as the only reality which expresses in various ways. We can also enter cosmic consciousness, being aware of Spirit all the time.

  • A yogi is one who knows and works with Spirit
  • The yoga state starts with peace, grows into bliss, progresses to soul awareness, and then moves into ever-new joy and spiritual enlightenment
  • The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali teach the Eightfold Path as a means of controlling the waves of consciousness and being free to dwell in the peace and bliss of our true nature
  • As we free the whirlpools of the mind, we experience that we are part of the one vast mind
  • We become aware that Spirit is the only reality and that It is expressing in various ways
  • Yogis go to the oneness of the vast mind for change. It is called transformation or transmuting — changing anger into compassion, changing worry into positive action
