Classical Kriya Yoga from The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali has three parts: self-discipline, self-study and ishvara pranidam (seeing God in others). Through yoga practice we can lessen the influences that block us from experiencing the soul within and Spirit everywhere. Explore the afflictions which keep you from knowing your true self. Discover how Kriya Yoga practice can free you from their limiting influence.
Yoga aids in practicing self-discipline, self-study, and seeing God/Spirit in others as well as ourselves. Look in a mirror and appreciate the life and consciousness that you see. Release restless activities, sensations, attachment, craving, aversion, repulsion and possessiveness. Weaken and neutralize the restricting influences of the mind. If you deal with life as an opportunity for self-discipline, self-study, and seeing God in others, your mind will not block you and keep you ignorant. Established in your soul, you will know the joy and the pleasure of practicing kriya yoga.
We ask you to commit two hours a week to selfless service. This service can be anything you choose ranging from helping a family member or neighbor to volunteering at a nonprofit organization.
This commitment is solely between you and your inner self.
