Yogis have identified six fetters (binding chains) which block us from the harmony of body, mind, and spirit. These momentums keep us from feeling fulfilled and also from success in yoga. There are many practices to help free us from these chains. As you work with them, you can create new momentums of peace, joy and happiness. There are six emotional momentums which act like chains binding us. They block our happiness, our ability to relate to others, and our ability to function at a high level. They are the emotional momentums of anger, fear, guilt, grief, arrogance and prejudice.
Yoga can assist as you deal with these fetters. Going beyond them will not only help you progress in yoga, but benefit you in all aspects of your life.
We ask you to commit two hours a week to selfless service. This service can be anything you choose ranging from helping a family member or neighbor to volunteering at a nonprofit organization.
