Understanding Your Mind

If you want to make progress, understand your mind. Consider what’s going on in there. Move toward a one-pointed mind. Becoming one-pointed establishes a new quality of life because it leads to a clear mind. Into the clear mind come peace, bliss and joy, along with the ability to better understand life and what is really going on.  Develop this sense of truth and dwell in a mind at its best.

  • By cultivating a sense of truth, we can realize the authentic self
  • Patanjali:  Yoga is control of the waves of the mind stuff (consciousness).
  • Patanjali identified the main kinds of ideas which keep us from awareness of soul and Spirit — right knowledge, wrong knowledge, memories, numbness of mind and fantasy
  • When we calm the five kinds of ideas, the mind naturally recedes into the soul
  • Yoga therapy is working with the mind as our ally on the way to discovery of soul and Spirit

How to Succeed

As you may know, we do not charge for our courses. All Yoga World content is free and available to you with our blessings. However, we do have a simple, but important request that’s key to the transformations necessary to succeed on the path.

We ask you to commit two hours a week to selfless service. This service can be anything you choose ranging from helping a family member or neighbor to volunteering at a nonprofit organization.
