RAMAKRISHNA ANANDA

Gratitude

Understand how being grateful improves the quality of life

A grateful heart makes all the difference. Learning to be grateful increases the quality of your life. Yoga seekers gradually recognize that all the goodness in life comes from God. They accept their daily lives as gifts from God, both the good events and the challenging ones. Ramakrishna Ananda illustrates these discoveries with examples from his life, demonstrating how we can be enriched through gratitude.

Essential Life Skills, Gratitude, Helpful Qualities

Transcendental Gratitude

In this practice we contemplate and recognize that all the good that comes to us through people and events is also coming from God. We are grateful to that person or for the event. At the same time, we’re aware of God’s involvement and feel profound gratitude.

  • Being vigilant and noticing things for which to be grateful adds to the fun of life
  • Another dimension to the practice of gratitude is thinking that it is God sending all the goodness into your life
  • A higher level of gratitude is learning how to also accept challenges as a gift from God
  • Hear how Ramakrishna Ananda became aware that heartbreaking circumstances from his childhood were a gift from God
  • Practice the verse from the Psalms:  “Enter these gates with thanksgiving.”
