This concludes our series on peace. Peace expresses in the way you think, feel, speak and act. As you abide in peace, you can become an instrument and help further peace in the world. The spiritual law of cause and effect (karma) explains that your life today is the result of previous thoughts and actions. Through your peace today, you can initiate new causes. This is also true on a group, national and global level. You can live in peace and become an instrument who plants new seeds which will benefit the world.
Would you like to bring more peace to your neighborhood? Yoga practice can foster love and acceptance. Then, by focusing specifically on peace, you can help it develop more quickly.
Every day Sri Ramakrishna used to chant: Ami yantra, Tumi yantri (I am an instrument, Lord. You are the operator). He taught that after realizing God, one feels that God alone is the doer. As we abide in peace, we can all be instruments, allowing Spirit to express through us.
We ask you to commit two hours a week to selfless service. This service can be anything you choose ranging from helping a family member or neighbor to volunteering at a nonprofit organization.
This commitment is solely between you and your inner self.
