RAMAKRISHNA ANANDA

Becoming an Instrument

Can you help establish peace in your neighborhood and world?

This concludes our series on peace. Peace expresses in the way you think, feel, speak and act. As you abide in peace, you can become an instrument and help further peace in the world. The spiritual law of cause and effect (karma) explains that your life today is the result of previous thoughts and actions. Through your peace today, you can initiate new causes. This is also true on a group, national and global level. You can live in peace and become an instrument who plants new seeds which will benefit the world.

Spiritual Development

You Can Be an Instrument

Would you like to bring more peace to your neighborhood? Yoga practice can foster love and acceptance. Then, by focusing specifically on peace, you can help it develop more quickly.

Every day Sri Ramakrishna used to chant:  Ami yantra, Tumi yantri (I am an instrument, Lord. You are the operator). He taught that after realizing God, one feels that God alone is the doer. As we abide in peace, we can all be instruments, allowing Spirit to express through us.

  • When you have peace, empathy soon follows
  • Peace gives you awareness of mahat (the great soul) and being at one with others
  • Pema Chödrön:  Our empathy and wisdom begin to come forward as we live in peace.
  • Peace frees us from desires and fears and allows us to live in the present
  • Peace gives us the ability to go deep into areas of suffering and find the Divine
  • Your life today is the result of previous causes. Live in peace and put new causes into effect
