RAMAKRISHNA ANANDA

The Infinite Self — Part 2

Is it possible for Spirit to express through us?

In writing about jnana yoga, Swami Vivekananda explains that the Infinite Spirit is manifesting all the universe, including you and me. We are part of the vast Infinite Spirit. Vivekananda:  The Infinite Self is the real nature of every person. We struggle to manifest the Infinite Self in various ways. Ponder his teachings on how to find and manifest the real self. Learn how to release the tyranny of the mind and personality and enjoy absorption in Infinite Spirit.

Spiritual Development

We Are Spirit

We think we are little beings trying to become enlightened. But if we are open to Spirit moving through us, we have a different experience of life. Allow Spirit to come through. Vivekananda recommends that we tell ourselves, with humility:  I am Spirit. I am Spirit.

Through dedicated repetition and attunement, the light becomes more and more effulgent. Strength comes and delusion vanishes. There comes a time when all else disappears and the light alone shines. We see that all is Spirit.

  • Infinite Spirit is creating and manifesting the entire universe, including you and me
  • Not only a localized soul, we are also part of the vast Infinite Spirit
  • Having often been unaware of our source, we now seek to live in awareness of the one vast Infinite Spirit
  • Swami Vivekananda:  Infinite power and existence of blessedness are ours. We do not have to acquire them. They are our own and we have only to manifest them.
