RAMAKRISHNA ANANDA

Watchfulness & Divine Memory — Part 1

Enjoy two techniques that can help you live in inner peace and joy

Is your yoga practice enjoyable and rewarding? Yogis maintain it should be uplifting, freeing, and a lot of fun. These two revered techniques will help you open to ever greater inner peace and joy. Witness consciousness will give you a free, clear mind that makes every day more enriching. If you get good at the watchfulness practice, you may be able to remember past lives and, most importantly, experience both divine memory and enlightenment.

Spiritual Development, Self-Study

Watchfulness Practice

Being watchful is a way that you cultivate divine memory. Practicing watchfulness, you can begin to remember more and more of your soul nature and your past lives. This practice is helpful in bestowing enlightenment — ending ignorance of Spirit and revealing your soul.

  • Yoga is fun
  • In the witness consciousness practice, observe your thoughts and feelings and then consider who is doing the observing
  • Watchfulness, paying attention to particular things, can help us cultivate divine memory
  • Develop the watchfulness practice to become aware of yourself as distinct from your senses, feelings and thoughts
  • Become aware of how sensations, feelings and thoughts affect the sense of self
