About Death

Do you think death is the end? Or is there more?

Yogis have found that our souls are eternal, pure and painless. Death is but the loss of the outer physical form. We are advised to turn to God for comfort and healing when faced with the loss of a loved one. Prayer and meditation reveal that the souls of our loved ones live on and love us still. Enjoy listening to Sri Ramakrishna’s observations and healing ideas about death.

Yoga Perspectives, Soul/Inner Self
  • Open your grief to God — God will heal you
  • The passing of a loved one can be helpful in resetting our priorities
  • Yogis call grief a fetter, a chain, which ties us to ignorance and ego
  • We only fear death because of our identification with the body
  • There’s no death for the soul. It is beyond life and death
  • In meditation we discover our soul:  eternal, pure and painless

The Soul is Eternal

In meditation we connect with eternal life. Our souls are eternal, pure and painless. The souls of our loved ones live on, wish us well, and love us still. This we can know and feel in meditation and prayer.
