RAMAKRISHNA ANANDA

Are You Living in Grace or Crisis?

Do you treat others as sacred?

Yogis and spiritual people around the world seek to become awake to the Divine. They endeavor to live in a state of grace no matter what is going on in the world. Their hearts are flooded with love, the essence of the Infinite Spirit. It helps them to choose to do the right thing and to build community wherever they are. Ups and downs come into every life and often bring crisis. You have the choice to live in crisis or in a state of grace and love.

Yoga in Daily Life

We Have the Choice

1 John 4:20:  Those who do not love a brother or sister whom they have seen, cannot love God whom they have not seen. Grace confers three profound states of consciousness which support our growing love. The first one is respect. It is important to hold God, others and oneself in high regard. The next is value. This means to appreciate the worth of oneself, others, and the Divine — hold them in high esteem and not treat them as disposable. The third is reverence. We need reverence for our fellow human beings and the people around our table.

As we hold the attitudes of respect, esteem and reverence for all, we develop deep love and awe for the miracle of life. We live in a state of grace with the Spirit of God flowing in our hearts. Ups and downs come into every life and often bring crisis. We have the choice, however, to live in crisis or in a state of grace and love.

  • Crisis:  a time of great danger or trouble, such as an economic crisis
  • In grace you are aware of God’s Divine Spirit living within you
  • In the state of grace, you have faith
  • Grace transforms the whole meaning and direction of your life
  • It enables you to love yourself and others as God’s created beings
  • 1 John 4:20:  Those who do not love a brother or sister whom they have seen, cannot love God whom they have not seen.
