Finding Your Nature

Find the kind of yoga that works best for you

There are many types of yoga. The key is to understand your nature and discover the yoga most effective for you. Explore the different yoga disciplines and consider how they can lead to spiritual awareness.

Online Seminars
  • Avatars, incarnations of God, are like windows through whom we can know and relate to Spirit
  • Bhakti yoga, the yoga of love, teaches that by meditating on an avatar or saint, we can attune with Spirit and comprehend how It expresses and reveals Itself
  • Powerful spiritual experiences (bhavas, moods of love) come to us through the practice of bhakti yoga
  • Yogis cultivate these moods, these ongoing emotional flows, which help us relate to Spirit more deeply
  • A focus on the soul, the spiritual essence within, can lead to spiritual awakening
  • As there are many types of yoga, study your nature and find the yoga that works best for you

They are Windows

The avatars, great beings like Jesus Christ, Krishna and Buddha, walked the earth immersed in spiritual awareness. Yogis say they are like windows. If you look into their life and meditate on them, you can develop an awareness of what Spirit is like. As you focus on them, you can contact Spirit. Choose your favorite saint or incarnation to meditate on. They are truly a window through whom you can relate to the Divine. This is a wonderful practice of bhakti yoga, the yoga of love.

As you may know, we do not charge for our courses. All Yoga World content is free and available to you with our blessings. However, we do have a simple, but important request that’s key to the transformations necessary to succeed on the path.

We ask you to commit two hours a week to selfless service. This service can be anything you choose ranging from helping a family member or neighbor to volunteering at a nonprofit organization.

I Commit to Serve
