Go Farther with Meditation, Chanting / Japa

Devotion and Concentration

Japa, chanting a mantram, is meant to take you to a state of flowing love and focused mind, to devotion and concentration. You’re chanting to develop a state of devotion and concentration which ultimately becomes permanent. You can live in a state of devotion all the hours of the day. Or the  mind becomes centered on God as you enjoy daily life.

  • Meditation and Its Practices by Swamiji Adiswarananda is used as a reference
  • Japa can lead you to states of devotion, concentration, absorption and illumination
  • Chanting God’s name can take you to the realization of your chosen deity
  • Japa can bring bliss. You can feel it in your mouth, your heart and in your head
  • Explore what great yogis say about japa and its benefits
