We have been given the gift of life and one day our bodies will pass away. During this life we have the opportunity to realize and express spiritual values. Yoga provides practices which can help us grow on the spiritual path. An essential question is: What are you going to do with this life? Discover a key to making the most of this life and growing in the consciousness of Spirit.
In the view of yogis, Brahma is the Infinite Consciousness, God the Father, out of whose being everything comes. Shakti is the dynamic movement within that Infinite Substance. It is the power of creation often called the Holy Spirit or the Divine Mother.
It is Shakti which enables us to grow and experience higher consciousness. Some people describe this force as Chit Shakti, meaning consciousness itself. You can grow on the path and live as a spiritual being by inviting Shakti into your life. A key to success on the spiritual path is the ability to welcome, accommodate and maintain this powerful, dynamic force. I’m going to describe various ways to approach Shakti, both for the beginner as well as the advanced devotee.
