RAMAKRISHNA ANANDA

Signs of Progress on the Path

Have you experienced bliss?

There are many signs of progress on the spiritual path. As you practice yoga, you begin to live with more happiness, confidence, peace, wellness and wholeness. Higher states of consciousness develop which bring great joy and bliss. Becoming aware of these indicators helps open you to these possibilities. Your yoga practice blesses, enriches and empowers you.

Sunday Morning Sessions

Your Wonderful Core Self

One sign of progress is that you become aware of your core self. You discover it is distinct from the personality and is called the atman or soul. It is your essence, the realm of conscience and wisdom.

As you attune with the soul, you receive wonderful intuitions:  the meaning of life, the reasons for past events and the underlying purpose of your life. As a result of sensing the soul, you become aware of the person you have always wanted to be. You become more fully yourself because you are expressing from your essence.

  • You can grow in the ability to experience different levels of consciousness: subjective, objective and superconscious
  • Character develops through the practice of the yamas and niyamas of Patanjali (guidelines and observances)
  • Releasing the fetters (anger, fear, guilt, grief, arrogance and prejudice) leads to expansions of the heart and feelings of great love
  • You begin to sense an underlying harmony in life and the hum of spiritual energy begins to move in your body
  • You become aware of the atman (your core self) and mahat (oneness with all life)
  • You begin to experience the joy and pleasure of living in the presence of the Divine
  • You begin to feel bliss, ecstasy in your body
