RAMAKRISHNA ANANDA

The Delusional World

Discover a key to lasting happiness

Maya, the cosmic illusion, keeps us ignorant of reality and our true nature. In misperceiving everything, we inevitably suffer. Awaken from delusion and find lasting happiness.

Yoga Perspectives, Happiness

Maya

Yogis use the word maya to describe illusion and delusion. Unaware of Spirit, we live in maya, the ignorance of reality. The best definition is in The Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna:  “Maya — ignorance obscuring the vision of God.” The term is also used to denote attachment. Very often in maya we’re attached to what we think will bring us happiness or to what we think is the reality.

  • We can never find lasting happiness through the mind, senses or emotions
  • The term maya means ignorance of reality, the cosmic illusion
  • Find the antidote to delusion
  • The delusion of maya causes us to misperceive everything and be unaware of our true nature
  • As we awaken, we become aware that all is Spirit

As you may know, we do not charge for our courses. All Yoga World content is free and available to you with our blessings. However, we do have a simple, but important request that’s key to the transformations necessary to succeed on the path.

We ask you to commit two hours a week to selfless service. This service can be anything you choose ranging from helping a family member or neighbor to volunteering at a nonprofit organization.

I Commit to Serve

This commitment is solely between you and your inner self.
