The Dog Mind

Want to know how to let go of unwanted thoughts?

Often our minds are like monkeys hopping from one idea to another or like a dog chasing a car. When we sit to meditate, if a car goes by, or our nose itches, or a memory comes up, off we go chasing that sensation or idea. Discover how you can calm the dog mind and experience greater success, better relationships, and deeper meditations.

Successful People Stay on the Subject

Our mind is unfulfilled and forlorn in erratic chasing, like a dog chasing cars. Happiness requires a degree of body, mind and Spirit working together, not yielding to distractions.

It’s very hard to have a dog-chasing mind and become successful in any field because successful people stay on the subject — on the customer, on the task, on the invention, on the work.

  • How the monkey mind and the dog mind both sabotage our happiness and success on the path

How to Succeed

As you may know, we do not charge for our courses. All Yoga World content is free and available to you with our blessings. However, we do have a simple, but important request that’s key to the transformations necessary to succeed on the path.

We ask you to commit two hours a week to selfless service. This service can be anything you choose ranging from helping a family member or neighbor to volunteering at a nonprofit organization.
