RAMAKRISHNA ANANDA

Recall Your Inner Purity — Part 3

How to uncover the purity of your true self

Our true self, the soul, is already pure. Each yoga path focuses on uncovering the innate purity at the core of our being. Explore practices which foster purity and discover how to remember and live in your true nature.

Spiritual Development

Purity Comes from Within

Swami Yatiswarananda writes that the best way of attaining purity is to practice remembering our true essence. Purity has been ours from the beginning of time. Spiritual growth is a realization of that which is already within. Uncover that purity, tune in with it, and allow it to express.

  • Karma yogis purify the body, senses, mind, heart and motive through selfless service
  • Jnanis realize purity through good judgment and clear discrimination
  • Bhaktas purify their feelings until the heart’s true feeling — love — flows naturally
  • The character purifications of raja yoga lead to an attuned higher will
  • The true self is already pure — we just need to attune with it
  • Swami Yatiswarananda:  Think of that eternal innate purity which is your real nature.

How to Succeed

As you may know, we do not charge for our courses. All Yoga World content is free and available to you with our blessings. However, we do have a simple, but important request that’s key to the transformations necessary to succeed on the path.

We ask you to commit two hours a week to selfless service. This service can be anything you choose ranging from helping a family member or neighbor to volunteering at a nonprofit organization.

I Commit to Serve

This commitment is solely between you and your inner self.

Why the Commitment?
