RAMAKRISHNA ANANDA

Developing the Eyes of a Yogi — Part 1

Would you like to see life from a soul perspective?

If you want to enjoy the benefits of yoga, learn to see like a yogi. Explore methods for gaining an eternal perspective. Discover the joy this can bring into your life.

Yoga in Daily Life

Center in the Inner Self

Yogis learn to look at life while centering in the inner self. They watch life as it unfolds, looking at people and events with a mind fixed in the true self, the soul. They remain unruffled by the changeable events which come and go.

With calm awareness, yogis distinguish the eternal from what changes and fades away.  Center in your inner self, your spiritual core, as best you can while looking at others and the world. You can become a person of steady wisdom when you develop this way of seeing.

  • The Bhagavad Gita explains that we have come into this world for enlightenment
  • Through the removal of spiritual ignorance, our miseries become fewer and fewer
  • Tattva-darsana is seeing the reality behind appearances
  • Yogic seeing recognizes that everything in the phenomenal universe is impermanent and undergoing change
  • Yogis distinguish the eternal from the ephemeral, that which is always changing and fading away

How to Succeed

As you may know, we do not charge for our courses. All Yoga World content is free and available to you with our blessings. However, we do have a simple, but important request that’s key to the transformations necessary to succeed on the path.

We ask you to commit two hours a week to selfless service. This service can be anything you choose ranging from helping a family member or neighbor to volunteering at a nonprofit organization.

I Commit to Serve

This commitment is solely between you and your inner self.
