What Blocks Our Happiness?

If you only seek your own happiness, you’ll never be happy in any lasting way. Your heart, your emotional nature, is too narrow to accommodate happiness. Your heart has to care about others and their happiness in order to be able to house happiness inside you.

  • Do we really care about the happiness of others? Or are we merely concerned with our own happiness?
  • Living from the false sense of ego rather than from the true self keeps us from being happy
  • Buddha concluded that the miseries of life come from alternately desiring and fearing
  • Trying so hard to be happy, we live in anxiety, unease and apprehension
  • To be happy, contribute to the happiness of all people, near and far

How to Succeed

As you may know, we do not charge for our courses. All Yoga World content is free and available to you with our blessings. However, we do have a simple, but important request that’s key to the transformations necessary to succeed on the path.

We ask you to commit two hours a week to selfless service. This service can be anything you choose ranging from helping a family member or neighbor to volunteering at a nonprofit organization.
