RAMAKRISHNA ANANDA

Ways of Prayer

Do you know the difference between mystical and interpretive prayer?

We explore several ways to relate to the Lord in prayer:  mystical prayer, affirmative prayer, interpretive prayer and the Lord’s Prayer. You can truly help others and open yourself to countless blessings through prayer.

Yoga in Daily Life, Prayer, Metaphysics

You Can Relate to God in Prayer

In summing up:  Relate, relate, relate to God whenever you pray. Don’t just mouth the words. Be yourself. Be sincere. You may visualize the ideal if you like. You may choose to pray affirmatively. It’s wonderful to think of God as powerful goodness and realize that God is everywhere.

  • In natural prayer, we simply talk to God, abiding in peace, listening as well as talking
  • When we pray, our prayers help others, but we too are blessed
  • In mystical prayer, we visualize the ideal rather than the problem and sense that God’s will is being done
  • In affirmative prayer, we affirm that God is omnipresent and omnipotent and can express love and goodness in all situations
  • In interpretive prayer, we attune with God and are inspired about what to pray
  • Study the universal spiritual principles of the Lord’s Prayer

How to Succeed

As you may know, we do not charge for our courses. All Yoga World content is free and available to you with our blessings. However, we do have a simple, but important request that’s key to the transformations necessary to succeed on the path.

We ask you to commit two hours a week to selfless service. This service can be anything you choose ranging from helping a family member or neighbor to volunteering at a nonprofit organization.

I Commit to Serve

This commitment is solely between you and your inner self.
