Getting to Know Your Universal Self

How do you know if you’ve experienced samadhi?

The various levels of samadhi bring distinct insights and experiences. Through the higher samadhis we become aware of the true self and are able to relate to others on a deeper level. Discover the profound transformations samadhi brings.

Online Seminars

What is Samadhi Like?

Your awareness ascends from its usual thoughts and feelings into peace, clarity and heavenly well being. You may see beautiful light or be filled with bliss as you contact your inner self, your soul. Samadhi is the beginning of spiritually conscious life. You wake up to your true nature.

  • In samadhi, the soul, the pure consciousness within, reveals the reality behind appearances
  • Patanjali explained samyama: concentration/contemplation/continuation (samadhi)
  • We cannot make samadhi happen — our part is to be aware and receptive
  • Samadhi enables transformation (which does not occur in astral or subconscious experiences)
  • In nirbija samadhi (samadhi with no object) we are open to revelations from the inner self
  • In dharmamega samadhi the false sense of self is transformed and we realize the true self

How to Succeed

As you may know, we do not charge for our courses. All Yoga World content is free and available to you with our blessings. However, we do have a simple, but important request that’s key to the transformations necessary to succeed on the path.

We ask you to commit two hours a week to selfless service. This service can be anything you choose ranging from helping a family member or neighbor to volunteering at a nonprofit organization.

I Commit to Serve

This commitment is solely between you and your inner self.

Why the Commitment?
